100% Belgian " Vine Festival" in La Hulpe: 2-4 June

May 16, 2023

For the first year, we propose you to attend the first 100% Belgian Vine Festival, taking place in La Hulpe from 2 to 4 June 2023.  The programme includes a conference, an oenology workshop, a visit to a vineyard, meetings with passionate winegrowers and a tasting of Belgian wines.

But what is really unique is the opportunity to be able, in one and the same place, after having tasted these Belgian wines and discovered their particularities, to buy bottles on the spot.  Lovers of short circuits who sometimes lack the time to put their ideals into practice will be delighted by this great opportunity to complete their cellar of Belgian beverages. From the grape to the bottle, Belgian wines will hold no secrets for you and your friends will be delighted that you are helping them discover them.

As wine and driving don't mix, we suggest you book our Festival de la Vigne package to fully enjoy the event and stay almost on site. It gives you access to all the activities of the weekend. Discover the full programme.

Jump on this great initiative to discover the subtleties of the aromas and the making of Belgian wines.

On 02/06 from 19:00 to 20:30, start the festivities in a good mood with the one-man show "Ni dieux, ni maîtres mais du Rouge" by Eric Boschman, humorist and sommelier at Dolce La Hulpe Brussels.  Entrance fee of €20 per person. All profits will be donated to the non-profit organisation "Pêcheur de lune".  Book your tickets

The Argan restaurant will then offer you a special 3-course "Vine Festival" dinner (40€) with Belgian food and wine pairings (28€).  A vegetarian version is also available. Book your table

Menu / Vegetarian

If you combine the dinner and the show, you will receive a €10 refund per person on the Erik Boschman show by sending your restaurant ticket to festivites@lahulpe.be

On 03 and 04/06, from 11am to 6pm, discover 20 100% Belgian vineyards and taste their wines at the Horticultural School of La Hulpe (Rue des Combattants 3, 1310 La Hulpe).  Meet the Domaine des Hêtres, a remarkable example of a biodiverse business, or the Château Bon Baron, which places the quality of its products and the satisfaction of its customers at the heart of its ambitions. You will receive an engraved "Festival de la Vigne" glass that you can take home, but above all, you will be able to leave directly with a few bottles or cases of the wines that have seduced your palate! Book your tickets

On 3 and 4 June, at 10 am and 2 pm, visit the Vignoble du Bois des Dames located in La Hulpe and taste the wine produced there at various stages of its production. This collective vineyard came into being in 2014 thanks to the dynamism of the municipal authorities and their societal vision, which made land and means available to the association of volunteers.  Concerned about the environment and the magnificent valley of the "Coulant d'eau", the passionate volunteer winegrowers avoid the use of pesticides and favour natural techniques, such as insects or agricultural auxiliary birds. The vineyard now has 200 vines and all the profits from the vineyard are donated to the "Pêcheur de Lune" association. During a meeting, share deep values and let yourself be guided by a history full of tradition, in an exceptional setting!

On 3/06, from 1pm to 2pm, and on 4/06 from 3pm to 4pm, learn about oenology at the Horticultural School of La Hulpe (Rue des Combattants 3, 1310 La Hulpe)! The President of the Bois des Dames vineyard and Master Sommelier, Xavier Ide, will show you the secrets of a good wine tasting and will put your taste buds to the test! Book your tickets

On 04/06 from 11am to 11:30am, attend the free conference "Grapes in La Hulpe: A long history" given by the President of the Cercle d'histoire de la Hulpe at the Ecole Horticole de La Hulpe (Rue des Combattants 3, 1310 La Hulpe). He will give a lecture on the tradition of table grapes in the municipality of La Hulpe and the surrounding area. Book your tickets
